Snow....

Yesterday we got our first snow!

The first snow is always exciting! And then after that...well...not so exciting :)

This snow will probably melt, but it won't be long before we have snow that will stay for a few months.

You Know Your A Photographer When....

You are frequently greeted with “What are you taking a picture of?!?” instead of “hello.” (umm...Yep :)

you get arrested after going up to a cop and asking him if he knows where you can find a ladder because you want a better angle from which to shoot the governor. (LOL I thought this was Hilarious!! )


 4 GB of memory lasts most people a month but barely lasts you the afternoon.

 No one else brings a camera to an event if they know you’re coming.

  Your family doesn’t recognize you without a camera covering your face.

Your family cringes every time you say, “I’ll be right there, I just need to take a couple shots of this.”

You remember your camera bag before your hat, coat, and gloves when heading outside

you’re watching a pro sporting event but paying more attention to the photographers on the sidelines than the actual game. (I do this all the time! or at a rodeo and stuff like that, I am usually watching the photographer instead of the actual thing we went to watch! :)  )

Summertimeness

Summer is coming to an end....sigh....that makes me sad :(

I realize I haven't been a very good blogger this summer, but hey...who wants to sit around and edit pictures and blog them in summer time? :) 

And thats why in this post I am skipping the sitting around and editing and just going straight to the posting! Here are a handful of (ahem unedited) my fav. pictures from this month so far......

Trip to Calgary

This past weekend our family headed to Calgary to meet up with dad's side of the family.

We left bright and early Sat morning.

We stopped @ Medicine Hat the first night.

It was Jen's 20th birthday so we got her a DQ cake and Pizza in the Hotel! 

Then we drove about 3 more hrs the next morning and arrived at Calgary.

We met up with the rest of the family at the hotel that we were going to be staying in.

The kids were pretty excited to get in the pool so as soon as we had everything loaded out of the van we all hopped in the pool :)

For supper that evening we went to an Italian restaurant 

The next morning a bunch of us went to a Fort in Calgary 

First we walked around outside a bit...

Then inside this building there was a bunch of cool old stuff.....

It was a lot of fun looking at it all!

That afternoon we all went to the MOUNTAINS!!!!

We have been to the mountains a few time but this is the first time that i really enjoyed them!  

They were breath taking and made me think of the awesomeness of God.

Auntie Karen and I set up our tripods and self-timer and took a few Pauls' family picture....it was very challenging :)

Then that evening for supper we went to Peter's Drive-in.

And just for the record they have the BEST milkshakes and the food is REALLY good to!!!

We left early the next morning and drove all the way home. We got home around midnight and hopped in bed :)

It was a really quick trip, but lots of fun and it was nice to see the family again!
